Position Status: Full Time
Position Location: Ottawa, ON
- Canadian Citizenship and 10 years residency in Canada - willing to obtain security clearance
- Asterisk experience, including installation, configuration, real-time Asterisk experience, and source code modification
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (English)
Desirable experience
Knowledge and experience developing using the following technologies:
- Linux / Windows operating systems
- Network administration
- Scripting
- C / C++ unde Windows and Linux
- Programming experience in real-time solutions
- Windows software development experience using an object-iriented programming language
- Networking Asterisk servers in geographically distnct locations
- Configuring interfaces for pstn, ISDN, and GSM
- Integrating external call centre applications with Asterisk
- Virtual private networking

Description du poste :
Le travail consiste en la traduction anglais-français de documents de nature technique, relevant principalement du domaine informatique, mais également des divers autres domaines d'activité du service de traduction. Étant donné la nature classifiée de certains des documents, le traducteur doit détenir une habilitation de sécurité ou être admissible à en obtenir une.
Exigences:
- Baccalauréat en traduction et deux années d'expérience ou certificat en traduction et quatre années d'expérience, ou expérience pertinente
- Maîtrise des applications Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), d'Internet et des autres outils informatiques (Termium, Le grand dictionnaire terminologique, Antidote)
- Intérêt marqué à se tenir à jour et à se documenter dans ses secteurs de prédilection et en informatique
Aptitudes pour les relations interpersonnelles
- Sens de l'organisation et souci du détail
- Souplesse et faculté à travailler sous pression et à respecter des échéances très serrées
- Esprit d'équipe
- Autonomie et capacité de concentration
- Parfaite maîtrise des langues sources et cibles
Les aptitudes suivantes constituent un atout:
- Expérience de la traduction informatique
- Connaissance de SDL Trados et de Multiterm
- Habilitation de sécurité de niveau Secret

- Canadian Citizenship and 10 years residency in Canada
- Degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or equivalent (Technical Writing diploma an asset)
- 5+ years experience producing technical documentation for software and hardware
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft and WordPerfect Office Suites
- Experience with Adobe Framemaker, Captivate, and Acrobat
- Able to capture and manipulate graphics (FullShot and SnagIt)
Desirable experience
- Secret or Top Secret Security Clearance
- Bilingual (English and French)
- Experience with online Help authoring tools (RoboHelp and Flare)
- Strong technical aptitude / background in application development
